The Marsh House in Montross, Virginia was built in 1936, by Everett and Myrtle Clark Marsh. Everett ran a barber shop for six decades and Myrtle worked for many years at Harris Store. Everett was a Town Council member and served as Mayor of Montross. Today, the Marsh House is home to the Northern Neck of Virginia Historical Society (NNVHS). Founded in 1950, the mission of the NNVHS is to collect, preserve, share, and interpret information and material of every nature relating to the history, artifacts, architecture, and literature of the counties of Northumberland, Lancaster, Westmoreland, Stafford, Richmond, and King George, in the Commonwealth of Virginia, comprising what is known as the Northern Neck of Virginia.We are thankful for your generous support to the NNVHS in 2021!
