Other local area newspapers of interest included in Virginia Chronicle are the Southside Sentinel from Urbanna (1899-2007) and the Rappahannock Record from Kilmarnock (1925-2007).
Thanks to the Richmond County Board of Supervisors, who commissioned and held the the copyrights to both books, we have now digitized and re-published online two outstanding histories of Richmond County. Both are free to read or download.

Also available, the 1975 Rappahannock Community College yearbook, Rappahannock 75, and a brief history of the college published to commemorate their 25th anniversary in 1995, Rappahannock Community College: First 25 Years.
Close Ties magazine was produced in 7 issues from 1990 to 1997 by Richmond County (Virginia) Intermediate School and gave students an opportunity to learn about and report on their community’s history. For each year’s issue, students interviewed family and community members and gathered photographs, under the guidance of their teacher/advisors. Each issue is available free online and is linked below.
