Local favorite performer Uncle Ty-Rone returns to the Richmond County Public Library for an online puppetry, ventriloquism and comedy show on Tuesday, July 7th at 11:00AM.
As a 7-year old, the Richmond, Virginia native Ty-Rone was very impressed by watching a television performance by famed ventriloquist Edgar Bergen. He told his parents that he wanted to become a ventriloquist. His parents took him to the library to check out books on ventriloquism. Those books opened up a whole new world of reading.
“Those books were the spark I needed to reading. I started reading a book every day”. Before long, Ty-Rone’s reading teacher was so impressed by his new attitude toward reading and learning; she offered him a chance to put on a ventriloquism show for the whole school in the library.
A professional since 1994, comedian and ventriloquist Uncle Ty-Rone got his big break at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia, where he learned how to attract and entertain large crowds. Ever since, the Virginia native has been sharing his love for entertaining where ever he can find people who want to laugh and enjoy good clean fun. He has appeared at comedy clubs, fairs, festivals, libraries, corporate events, educational venues all across the country to well satisfied audiences. We are thrilled to have him back this summer, although online this time.
